Insolvency Tip #3: Non–receipt of DPN not a defence!

It is very important for directors and their professional advisers to be aware that the Deputy Commissioner of Taxation (DCT) is able to serve a DPN (standard or lock down) by simply posting it to the address recorded by ASIC as the director’s address.

This is the case even if the director has moved house one or more times since the company was originally incorporated.
