Michael believes that commercial transactions should be viewed from a litigation perspective
Michael commenced employment at ERA Legal in 2017 following working as a family lawyer in Sydney and Melbourne.
Michael’s legal work history encompasses the family law, criminal, general civil and estate practice areas. His recent work exposure covered all aspects of parenting and property/financial disputes. Such matters include complex, high-conflict litigation often involving transactional and commercial components including the division of family companies and trusts through private agreements and interventions by third-party creditors in financial cases.
Michael developed an appreciation and interest for the more commercial elements arising from his previous practice areas and decided to focus on commercial law, which brought him to ERA Legal. He believes that commercial transactions should be viewed from a litigation perspective. In this respect, Michael understands the importance of attention to detail and clarity when drafting legal documentation to ensure effectiveness and enforceability. Michael relishes working under pressure and pursuing cost-effective solutions for his clients.
Michael graduated from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Commerce (2010), Bachelor of Laws (2014) and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law (2015). He has also studied abroad at the University of Colorado at Boulder in the USA.
Michael was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2015 and the High Court of Australia in 2017.
