Nicholas has experience advising insolvency practitioners in respect to formal appointments in a variety of industries, including mining and resources, building and construction, financial services, and aviation. He also regularly acts for private lenders enforcing securities.

More recently, Nicholas has developed a reputation for his work advising insolvency practitioners with respect to large scale compositions of groups of companies and receiverships, recently acting in a number of matters against directors (and their affiliates) of ASX listed companies for breaches of director duties and failure to comply with disclosure obligations.
